The coast in and around Essaouira on the west Atlantic Seaboard offer many water based options. From beginners to intermediate to expert, all levels of competencce can be catered for.

There is a wide range of water based sports to choose from, some basic and some more advanced. They include:

Standup Paddle Boarding (SUP) – all levels
Surfing – all levels
Kayaking – all levels
Kite surfing – much more demanding
Wingfoil – much more demanding
eFoil – much more demanding

From 1 to 2 hours up to half/whole day

SURFING

Your surfing experience starts just 50 meters from Essaouira's stunning beach.

Your instructors will first take time to brief you about your surfing session. They will then provide you with the correct surfboard and wetsuit to match each individual’s level of ability on a surfboard (from beginner to experienced) in order to determine the programme(s) for today.

On the day, the best surf spot for your level(s) of experience will be selected. Then, once on site, there will be a review of the safety measures. This will be followed by a warm up session followed by your step-by-step, tailored surf lessons with a focus on:

Positioning on your surfboard.
Learning how to paddle.
Practicing popping up.
Working on your posture and balance on your surfboard.
Learning how to read waves.
Building your trust by riding your first waves and feeling the thrill

If there are experienced surfers in your group, we will head to a specific surf spot in Essaouira with bigger waves.
